On November 28, 2014, Julie Therriault was awarded the second Carole Brouillette scholarship, created for students with an interest in applying information sciences outside traditional contexts, whether in the corporate sphere, specialized fields, research groups or the virtual/technological world. Such interests deserve to be fostered, particularly in today’s context where professional practice is constantly subject to review; where up to 70% of tomorrow’s careers remain unknown; and where various emerging technologies are poised to drive truly massive disruptions between now and 2025.
