CAROLE BROUILLETTE

Carole Brouillette is President and Principal Consultant of Infopremium, the information management and governance consulting agency she founded in 2012. She intervenes at both a strategic level and as a full-on project participant, setting up diagnostics, specifying orientations, suggesting improvements, drawing up action plans and managing projects. She also drafts and implements policies, procedures and tools; designs information architectures and technology-based solutions; maps and optimizes information management processes; personalizes information distribution; and automates document lifecycle management. She has a keen interest in taxonomies, integrated auto-classification solutions and the use of text analytics tools in knowledge management.

She has 15 years’ previous experience coordinating specialist teams in areas like research, competitive intelligence and knowledge organization, working for major corporations in the pharmaceutical sector (Sanofi-Aventis), aeronautics (Pratt & Whitney Canada) and finance (Desjardins).

Since 2009, she has taught strategic information management in the graduate program of Université de Montréal’s school of library and information studies (EBSI – École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information). She also created the Carole Brouillette scholarship for students with an interest in applying information sciences outside traditional contexts. She is a member of the GREGI interdisciplinary research group on information governance; regularly publishes articles; is frequently invited to speak on various aspects of information and knowledge management; and currently sits on an expert panel in the health field.
